Hi need some advice very specific I know and I hope its in the right section.I know the Mac osx is limited and won't let me output DTS HD ma but will allow DTS core file to be extracted and output via my Yamaha av receiver rxv577 connected to a Mac mini via HDMI. But essentially my question is has anyone got dts HD ma audio working via bootcamp installation of a windows operating system??? The Mac hardware has the capability to do the HD audio pass through but osx software won't allow it so a windows installation should technically work.but has one been able to get it to work???? For anyone else wanting HD audio on a Mac. U can definitely achieve it via bootcamp and an install of windows + kodi.I put windows 10 with latest kodi and mapped my external hard drive with all my movies connected via USB 3.0.Audio settings in kodiAfter selecting expertAudio channels set to 5.1Output to wasapi HDMIHDMI pass through enabledDTS HD enabledDolby true HD enabledAnd its working. I know some people will say u can't tell the difference but I definitely can especially in the lfe channel.

Its more pronounced and clear. Had to turn the gain down on the sub. Everything foes sound v v v clear. If u have a decent setup and good ears its worth the fiddle. Pretty simple process once I knew what I was doing. Bootcamp install windows and apply the settings I've mentioned in kodi and u r good to go!!!!!
