Confirming the firmware version:

• Turn on the Nikon D3200
• Press the MENU button and select Firmware Version from the setup menu.The camera’s firmware version will be displayed.
• Turn off the Nikon D3200

Basic Download and Nikon D3200 Installation instructions for Windows and Macintosh:

I originally wanted to install the newest & latest version of djay 4.2.1. Cannot download djay 4.2.1. So I purchased djay 4.2.1 through app store (began to download after signing in Apple ID & password). Djay pro code.

1. Create a new folder on your computer’s hard drive. The desktop is recommended for an easy location to find.
2. Click the “I agree – Begin download” icon below and choose SAVE. Save F-D3200-V102W.exe to the folder created in step 1.
3. Open the folder created in step 1 and double-click the F-D3200-V103W.exe to create the folder titled D3200Update, containing the following file: – D3200_0103.bin: the firmware.
4. After transferring off all images, format a memory card inside the camera and then remove from the camera, then use a memory card reader to copy D3200_0103.bin to the memory card. DO NOT copy this file into the DCIM folder, just copy to the card itself.
   • Download F-D3200-V103M.dmg.
   • Double-click the F-D3200-V103M.dmg icon to mount the disk image titled, F-D3200-V103M.
   • A folder titled D3200Update, containing the following file, will be created inside the disk image:• D3200_0103.bin: the firmware
   • After transferring off all images, format a memory card inside the camera, then remove the card from the camera, and use a card reader or similar device to copy D3200_0103.bin to the memory card. DO NOT copy this file into the DCIM folder, just copy to the card itself.
5. Re-insert the memory card containing the downloaded firmware into the camera’s memory slot 1 and turn on the camera.
6. Select Firmware version from the setup menu and follow the instructions displayed to upgrade the Nikon D3200 camera’s firmware.
7. After the upgrade is complete, turn the camera off and remove the memory card.
8. Access the Firmware version item in the setup menu to confirm that the camera’s firmware has been upgraded.
9. After confirming that the firmware has been upgraded, be sure to turn the camera off and leaveit off for five seconds or more before using it.

Modifications/Note for Nikon DSLR D3200 Firmware Version C:1.03:

• The camera now supports display of error messages when lenses with a retractable lens mechanism (e.g., AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6G VR II) are used. An error message is displayed and the shutter cannot be released when the lens barrel is retracted.
