Star Jalsha was officially launched on 8 September 2008.[1]
In 2012, it undergone a revamp with a new diamond star identity.[2]
The channel launched its own high-definition feed, along with Jalsha Movies HD, on 29 April 2016. They were the first Bengali-language HD channels in India.[3][4]
On 2018, Sagnik Ghosh became the head of the channel.[5]
In February 2019, the channel undergone a revamp with a fresh identity.[6]
